What is that engine code? I mean I know what the E85 is but that doesn’t really look like a T in the vin.

I USED TO OWN IT... SOLD IT BECAUSE IT HAD THE V1L CHAMPAGNE TOP..

Purple once upon a time? Maybe the new guy in Europe should buy this car and use his as the donor?

Edit: Ah right his is a '71 so couldn't possibly be a donor for this one...:poke:

VOF= 6BBl car. Obviously not currently in the vehicle and in any case E87 would be the correct engine code. Looks line an optical illusion of the "T" caused by rust on the tag.

SFGT was not offered in plum crazy, looks to have had multiple repaints. DY2 paint code on the tag is Sunfire yellow. A52 code suggests that it is a legit SFGT, very low optioned unit.

I would be worried that a car that went from yellow to purple and back to yellow might have a lot of bondo hidden underneath. The add says some rust, that can be a key word for that condition. Somebody would need to get eyes on it before trying to figure what this thing is worth. far worse have been offered for sale for more money.

car was always yellow..purple was for a color change that never happened.. car was not rusty when i sold it but sure looks like it has sat outside the last 10-12 yrs so it nay be really bad now.....sad

Hello All

I am the owner of the car in question, just joined. It has been a rocky start getting this ad off and all. I am glad see it has made this forum. I was on the C body Drydock forum in past but I see that forum has faded. I want to make sure all info is correct on this car. I have a lengthy 3 ½ page write-up that I am ready to send to anyone with interest, it should answer most questions, but I am happy to answer questions too. I can also copy and paste that info here if allowed to do so (hopefully the moderators can let me know what is allowed and/or limitations). I still have a couple things I am needing to determine on engine and will let everyone know.

During my ownership the car has been parked inside in various locations quite a bit in the past but not so much anymore, when outside it has been under a carport or tarp. Biggest threat to vehicles setting outside here is severe thunderstorms with large hail or high winds with debris, this car luckily has not been hit by either. I bought an S/23 with an open window (mattress-holder car in Quonset from GT & S/23 Registry Page 4 pic inset) that took the spot in my garage.

Images for the car can be looked at Imgur I will be attempting to add another set later today or tomorrow (without Burt and Danny from show Soap, sorry). We originally had pics on Instagram but they kicked me off due to some violation of policy, pics on Imgur are better quality and can be blown up better.

I advertised this car on Cars-on-line.com for legitimacy and for the long haul and linking and email purposes, though I will probably putting it on Craigslist Des Moines sometime soon for more exposure.

I can always be contacted with questions, for those who want to contact me via this forum, please be patient I will make every attempt to get back with you. I am checking everything multiple times a day but I don’t use a smartphone and I go to a PC with more solid connection and keyboard.

FYI center caps and chromed road wheels are not correct for this '70 SFGT.
