The SAGA Begins - '66 300 Convertible

Alright boys. . . I got the priming rod and primed the engine rotating it so the oil got to every nook and cranny. Here is a really crappy video of the break-in right after the first start:

Here is a second video of the second start after the break-in run. Didn't realize we were running on six cylinders until after this run:



Although the engine seemed to be running pretty good, there was definitely a miss occurring somewhere. After we shut it off, I discovered a boot loose on the distributor cap (probably #1 plug wire) and the #3 boot at the pug was completely disconnected. I'll try another run later, when I'm ready to do a little tuning.

Sorry I have been absent lately.
I read through the thread and I also experienced the differences between 383 and 440 brackets.
I use the priming rod for the oil on ALL engine builds.
Keep up the good work!!

YEAH!!! It is alive, get those plug wire secure and give us some video of the test drive action.
 
Sweet we have been waiting for this one! Way to go Rip ready for spring and it's the beginning of winter. :)
