I wasn't exactly looking for another car, but this one popped up locally and I had a line on some garage space opening up as well. I went to check it out and it came home with me.
It's a 400 2 barrel, manual A/C, straight, pretty much no rust, new fuel system from tank to carb, new radiator, and an original interior in above average shape. I think the vinyl top is original, but the car has had a mediocre repaint at some point in it's life. Shows 96,000 miles on the odometer and I'm inclined to believe that is correct. Door latches all around were a bit sticky but a tiny bit of Deep Creep cleared that right up.
Needs a battery tie down, transmission cooling line patch, transmission pan gasket, probably shocks, a few repairs to the front seat, and to figure out why the passenger windshield wiper doesn't go.
I've had a blast driving it around over the past week and am looking forward to even more cruising once I get the little stuff taken care of.
Some trunk rust in the trunk.
Much better with one application of Metal Rescue gel left overnight.
