well, here it goes. If I can live to see the day when this car is finished, and this page has pictures of a finished car on it..it will be freaking killer as hell. I hope I get there. I bought this Plymouth fury III in march 2013, in dallas texas. VIN# PX23G8D243539. I was told I'm the 3rd owner, and it is supposed to be a texas car. It's all there , and supposed to be all original. I looked at the fender tag, motor, and transmission numbers, and they are all from late Feb 1968, and the car was born Mar 6 1968 (if I remember the decoded info correctly), all within a week of each other. It is labeled as white, black top, red interior, 2 door fast top. It has a 383 2bbl and a 727 trans 3 speed auto on the column.:sFl_america2:
I'm starting this post today, instead of being out driving this American made steel yacht because I was in the engine compartment wiping everything down, and the oil sending unit line broke off flush when I bumped it.. spent some time fixing that and started up, checked oil pressure gauge - GOOD.. put it into D and the idle doesn't kick down...hrum... I give it gas and roll a bit,, tap the brake, and almost faceplant the dashboard because the brakes locked. I think I broke some dry rotted vacuum line somewhere or something like that... So the wife says I cant drive it anymore until I restore it.
