Ok I am looking for any advice I am looking at purchasing a large collection or 370 boxes of stuff and shipping from Canada to Kansas. Every shipping quote I have gotten has made this deal undoable. If anyone knows someone that ships boxes please let me know. I even looked at u-haul and my cost on renting 2 vehicles as I need about 50ft is $4400.00. I may have to give up on this deal. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Rene'

I do business with a few companies in Shenzhen, China and I was able to use DHL International Freight to ship a palette of parts for under $600. I'm sure it's different being overseas, but might be worth looking into.

You should be able to get that shipped for $2.50-$3.00 a mile all day long depending on where in Canada to where in Kansas.

50 ft is a full trailer.

You will need a detailed itemized inventory with declared value of what is being shipped and a US Customs Broker to get it thru Customs.

Also pricing will be affected by where the goods are and are they palletized or loose.

Hand bomb 300+ old boxes off a residential driveway, $$$. Back up to a warehouse dock and load 20 pallets of boxes shrink wrapped to the pallet, better price. Time is money.

Just a side note, returned or defective items do not face the same tax/duties that retail merchandise does. I had to pay for goods incoming, but marking them as "warranty return/exchange" saved me quite a bit.

2200 cubic feet, 22,000 lbs. That's 46 pallets with 8 boxes on each, a full 48 footer stacked 2 pallets high. That's a
full load he's got there.
