I have read through a few of the "torsion" bar threads on how to remove stubborn bars, but I have a real stubborn one. The stub frame is out of the car and I have the tool from American Muscle, so I have the room to really wack it. It's moved only about "1/8.
The rear clip is out and the LCA spindle nut is off. The LCA is loose, no tension anywhere. I have pried the LCA back, as some threads suggest, but nothing. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I sheared the bolts off the tool too.

Spray the rear torsion bar mount with some penetrating oil. Take a block of wood and a large hammer and start thumping on the lower control arm pivot shaft where it sticks out of the stub. Odds are that the rubber boot on the torsion bar has failed and the rear mount is rusted. Once you break it loose, it should come out.

Best way is to move LCA rearward.
My Challenger drivers side bar is like that,it has been out many times but it will only come out by LCA pried rearward. I think the bar or the pivot are bent/misaligned, maybe the anchor.
Good luck

When I pry on the LCA, it actually flexes the rear frame cross-over. My lever is 4 feet long.

You've moved it back 1/8" rearward. Heat the anchor up a bit, move it back 1/8" forward, smack it sideways a couple times. Bang it rearward again. Lather... rinse... repeat. It will come out.

So you are positive that this clip is out...

Then, make sure that there are no raised burs in the bar's path. I had that problem one time. Filed a small bur down and it slipped into place. Other than that acetone and atf as a penetrate, then heat as a last resort for me.

It was pure will against evil:

Using acetone and penetrant did not work (even lighting acetone on fire did not work) The OEM tool did not work. Prying the LCA did not work.
So, I had to cut one of the bars. I call it a draw. One saved and one cut.

I don't know what you mean by the floor, but yes the frame has rot. It is going to be replaced.

I've had things so stuck from rust and corrosion that it has taken me weeks of cycling heat, penetrating fluid, impacting with brass 2lbs sledge or brass drifts to finally have it break free. Just a matter of how much time you have on your hand, and how darn stubborn you can be.
