Another One Before, Well, As The Snow Flies

Scott, it seems like there's gonna be a bunch of new rides coming to Volo next year. Your Monaco 500, a B7 Fury, a wagon,:poke:@Xenon. Congrats on the new ride! I know of a nice Monaco 500 that's going to be put back on the road, that could be a good source for parts for your new ride. I'll PM his contact info to you in the AM when I'm back at the office tomorrow.
BTW, I recently found a set of road wheels, locally on CL, for the 71 New Yorker. When I went to pick them up, I was surprised who was selling them....you remember the Monaco 500 that was at Volo? They'll be there next year, maybe with 2 rides. It's a small world when it comes to our C bodies.
Another member, @marty mopar had a set of fender skirts I needed, so slowly getting other items together for the down time over the winter.
Wish I knew you were driving through. I would've tried to meet up with ya. At least you had time for a pit stop at Wyatt's.
I was racing the clock for the most part, I didn't get to Wyatt's until almost 3:00am! It would have been cool to meet up again, I'm sure I'll be back before I know it. Look forward to seeing your four door in person!

Seems there was another member from afar in the area and didn't stop to say HI, sixpkrt...
LeBaron1973, stopped to see Marpar but not us... :(:(

I didn't wind up getting the 4 door. Got this one instead....
BTW I just PM'd you the contact info mentioned above.

Last night I realized I had a triple pickle! Didn't even think of that the whole time since I started talking to Steve about buying the car. Never had a green car, now I have two in five months! Time to stop buying (yeah right) and start restoring some of them. It'll be fun having this as a driver though, and Wyatt's right, the interior is in very nice condition. I'm going to go insane thinking of all the little things to do while the cold months are here. It's going to warm up at the end of the week, might have to play around with the carb a little before the long winters nap.

Could I ask how much did it cost to rent the trailer and truck ? Is it by the day ? I never thought of a rental before, this could open some new possibilities for me !

The trailer is $54.95 a day, and the truck is $19.95 with the first 100 miles free, and .29¢ a mile after that. I used their truck because mine needs a lot of maintenance I've put off, but it's nice not having to worry about a thing. And it had a tow/haul mode that moves the shift points higher for getting going. Just wish the trailer was a little longer so it wouldn't sway so much. I only had one scary death wobble in 1500 miles, a definite pucker moment.

you never know when another car is going to pop up that you have to run and scoop up like right now. sometimes even more urgent and it has to be RIGHT MEOW!!! lol

I am trying to put money and time into my old truck and rig to be prepared. I need to resurface the deck but I have it fitted with "J" hooks and chains set up like a roll back with a winch. I can load a car by myself with a flat tire or two in 10 minutes flat. :) a single chain goes on the rear and I tighten it up with the winch.....then a safety chain on each side of the front and GO

Fired her up today, needs starting fluid, won't start on it's own after running. Steve said he thought something was off with the carburetor, so it's not a shock it isn't running right. I have a kit he included, or other carbs in my inventory. Not the biggest hurry. It was a bummer stepping on the pedal and the car didn't want to do squat. Doesn't like a load other than in Park/Neutral. Appears to be hooked up correctly and the rest of the fuel system was just gone through. Once running it's fine, until you put it in gear and try to move it. The pedal feels very soft, with no increase in pressure til past halfway down. It feels normal and firm when in Park/Neutral. I knew it needed tuning so I'll start with the basics and see if the carburetor on it can be used first.

One of the coolest backup lights I've seen.

There still is a little ice left, but my drainage work seems to have helped. I have the door open, I'll close it before I go to work. The Polara is sitting in a hole on the rear passenger side, I chipped all the remaining ice away from in front of passenger front wheel. It was in a hole like the rear yesterday, so it's melting quickly.

But it doesn't matter, because we were supposed to be getting three inches of snow, possibly mixed with rain. So who know if these dingbats will throw down a bunch of salt or chemicals (most likely) so the roads still need rain. But it doesn't matter, one will be out soon, followed by another, and then, maybe one more.
