This '70 Road Runner I got when I was 14 for $50 with no drivetrain and the air grabber hood was swapped for a standard RR hood. I didn't get a job until I was 15 so I had saved 50 cents every day of school by getting just a shake instead of the whole lunch. I bought the white 300 for $300 after I had a job and put the 440 and 727 in the Runner... Damn was my Dad pissed, until I bought a rough '68 Newport 2dr and put the 383 in the 300.

The '68 Fury III was an exceptionally nice car inside and out. A friend's dad bought it at an auction and within about 6 months he overheated it and cooked the engine. He offered to sell it to me, but I only had $200 at the time. He said hell no and then came back a couple weeks later and took the $200.

I have a bad weakness for the '67-'68 Chryslers about equal to my weakness for the '68-'70 Plymouth B bodies. Unfortunately I really like the '57 Chrysler and DeSotos also. It would save a great deal of time and money to have a clear favorite... There are the '66 & '67 Plymouth Bs as well...

Think of this as time lapse from my others. Another step closer. Final pictures at Mopars in the Park? June 1?
