Is $200usd for Broker and $350usd to haul it from Calgary to MT it takes a bit of time at the border for inspection and getting the paperwork stampedThe broker fees aren’t bad $250 i think. The transport to the holding yard in Sweetgrass would be about $1000 from Calgary

Yea well the seller ain't much better as he clearly violates the BaT's commenting rule #3 in calling out all the keyboard warriors as trolls that ruined his sale.
LOL you should read his BIO, and have a look at his other 26k car that he has bragging rights too. (that 26k number seems to be magic with him)

Any chance we could see the whole listing for that 1973 Monaco? It appears to be black! Is it possible it was driven on a road at some time that was wet and muddy? It doesn't necessarily look like greasy inspired buildup as much as mud??? Thanks, though, for the additional information on the seller.

Without complete Service records you never know about the mileage. If you have a car that's been driven in a bad climate more extensive in all weather conditions for say 30 k miles with only average care and then later only very sparingly because the owner retired for example you could have a very sad looking low mileage car compared to one that was exclusively ordered for fair weather trips and taken care of meticolously as a Hobby. You would find more extensive rust in the first case even maybe rusted through in typical Areas as These cars only Held up about half a decade in states like Illinois and the like in daily use.
But then again my pricing is mostly built from Overall condition, not specific mileage, the Body work to Close a hole is the same high or low mileage for example. The interior is in some cases a better indicator than the outside.
I would sum this Monaco under the more likely low mileage cars, if I could only read this seemingly old inspection sticker on the Driver door.

Oh gawd what part to quote,,, <insert Dirty Harry tone> "You got to ask yourself one question" Why are these supposedly low mileage Mopars leaking so much oil?
I've had many similar looking grimy cars up on my lift back in the day, mostly they were of the 60k+ mileage type cars that had very little maintenance (1 or 2 oil changes) and in need of many major maintenance items to pass inspection. Not hard to tell when seeing the seep of a leaky rear main seal, front or rear transmission seal, valve covers, sloppy pump jockey add a quart of oil spilled down the side of the engine and the resulting grime that sticks to that oil over many miles of driving on roads that have residual sand still on the road from the winter.
Usually I just write up a big azzz estimate and send them on their way.

Yea I wouldn't waste my time over there as via the BaT commenting rules they only want 'Positive People', of course, they are in the money for the successful sale. Like I say read the sellers Bio, he's a Professional Photographer, also maybe what I would call a tinkerer. I don't know if he has someone doctor up these cars or he got them that way, but one thing is for certain he knows all the 'Right' angles to take pictures from his many years snapping Nikes.
Go back and read the two group hug posts after your last comment, now us mechanics that have actually had many of these cars up on a one post lift (remember those) back in the day are now "malcontents and naysayers" ha ha ha.

Seller here. Just a note to let everyone know the car has sold.
Regarding commenting on BaT - anyone's free to post, but yes, keep it constructive, back up your observations with facts, and keep in mind the old adage about opinions. The best commenters on BaT are the ones that have a lot of knowledge, but don't have to go around trashing nice cars to somehow prove it to others.
I've sold about 700 vintage cars over the past 20 years, I do it full time, have a dealer's license, and hand pick what I sell. I only buy what I like. I always try to have over 60 photos and a driving video so my buyers know what they're getting. Dealers who fudge the truth don't last long in this business.
I'm bullish on Mopars, and if they don't sell stateside then someone in Europe is usually next in line, which is where this one is going. Good cars always sell themselves.
I'm not out to make any enemies, but won't hesitate to call out those whose only intention is to troll.
The common thread is that we all love these cars, and there's enough negativity and hate out there already.

Negativity and hate??? People (including me) were making valid points positive AND negative, about your car. Nice, yes, but we still had questions. All you did was whine about those comments. I was kind enough to hold off until your auction ended. Been on BaT for neatly six years. I myself have owned over 800 vehicles since 1972, with 500+ being Mopars. I know Mopars. And you are among the most rabid C-body guys around on this forum. Better have thick skin to hang here. Out.

Sure, I have no problem with people pointing out flaws or asking questions, but when you started questioning the odometer I was a little surprised that someone with your experience couldn't see 26K miles staring at them in the face. Hey, try selling some cars on BaT, and you'll discover that you have limited patience for 'expert opinions' that come from 2000 miles away.
Then why do it?
