i went to turn on channel 70 tcm-turner classic movies and it wasn't on my channel line up went to a another tv with a different convertor box and said not authorized to view this channel. now you have to upgrade to a sports package that i will never watch for $10 more dollars a month that i will not pay ontop of my current rate. so now i will either down grade my cable the add the $10 or just drop my cable but i want to keep my internet and phone service. tcm is the main reason i still have the cable. what will they remove next and charge more for next metv? who has cut their cord with this f@#*&n company and what kind of trouble did they give you?

I cut the cord a LONG time ago, and installed Kodi on an Amazon Fire Cube. I watch whatever I want, whenever I want.

AT&T Uverse... got tired of the charges years ago. Now just the bare minimum to keep the internet running and netflicks and amazon for something I'm going to fall asleep to anyhow (like RT66) or what crap Management wants to watch.

TCM is one of my favorites too, I’m checking now. Those Bastards!!! Looks like I’m making a phone call today, I wonder what else they took??:soapbox:

As did I about 6+ years ago.
Not paying for cable or SAT to be bombarded with commercials & repeated episodes
Went with the fastest possible Internet connection, Kodi & Netflix.

I haven't had tv in years. It was the best thing I ever did. I have internet only..firestick and roku. Everything I want nothing I don't. They always call me wanting me to get tv...goes to voicemail. No home phone either.

I don't watch cable tv anymore. Don't watch tv anymore. Haven't in many years. Just the internet for info and shows on youtube.

WIFI and Roku....... All you need. I do have an antenna which brings in the local channels free.

Yeah, you'd need a TV with an HDMI input.

7 + years without cable, direct tv was too busy to set it up in our new place. 6 months later, they found the time, but we moved on. We have local, Netflix and hulu for short time. At 16.00 per month netflix is a bargain. We recently upgraded from a LED visio to a QLED 4k Samsung. TVs have changed alot in those 10 or so years.

I cut my FIOS TV & home phone I had with Verizon and just kept the WiFi. Savings of $140 per month. I have Roku and Amazon and an antenna for the local channels. I have a better quality picture without cable. The only thing I am missing is watching hockey. Those #$%@ sports networks make it impossible to pick up your local team through streaming. Talk about a monopoly.

Tell me about it. I grew up in Buffalo, I live 3 hours from there now and I'm still considered in there blackout region. I had dish then direct got rid of them both. When I called them they put the blame on the NHL. Said it was up to them.

I have Dish, if my internet was fast enough to stream everything Dish would be gone.
They had a pissing match with Fox over the contract and just got it settled. We were without all Fox channels for a couple of weeks.

I'll be honest, I can't for the life of me understand anyone paying for satellite or cable TV.
You are are pissing away 2 to 4 times more than you need to.
There's nothing they can possibly provide that I can't do better without them.

I can get the "baseball package" and watch the Cubbies as where I couldn't otherwise!

I made the call and got TCM and everything that comes with it for no extra charge for at least a couple of months. That’ll give me time to get rid of cable.
