Now don’t laugh. Even though I’m in sunny California we have one spot in town where we get crazy color from the trees. The church up the street was built by an old Irish elf of a priest who missed the old country and one legacy he left us was the church parking lot. He on purpose had it planted w fall color-changing trees. It is a real beautiful spot to just sit and read car magazines. Nobody’s ever run me off while I’m out there praying to the gods of speed.

That's beautiful and your convert is too!! Typically we have about 2 weeks of vibrant colors. This year it was more like 2 hours. Mother Nature gave us a poor palette of colors. She should a hired Bob Ross.
We did get some nice sunsets though....

Fall colors in Edmonton are typically brown grass, very shortly followed by 5 months of white.

Depressing, but not uncommon to see leaves turn color and begin to drop the last week of August. By mid September it's fully on...

Oh well, if I want scenery I just drive to BC.

Watchu talking 'bout Willis? Never been to the river valley? The eastern maples on 97st. Off 137 Ave? Don't have a picture on my phone, but for two weeks there, the photographer's come out of the woodwork to snap them up. Typical Edmontonian, trash talking the place. Try to stay positive. There's alot to love. It is nice to hear from another Edmontonian. Calgary seems to have a little group. It would be a good thing to have that here too. All the best!

The middle of October seems to be the zenith the last couple of years in the Mid-Atlantic area. Especially Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Elevations above 3000 feet with turn a week or so before the lower elevations. It has been a beautiful cruise.

Dining room view. It sold the wife on the house. It’s nice. You can watch the color change spread over the weeks in Fall.

Great shot, you must have been real close to take that. They supposedly have bears in Vermont and New Hampshire but i never seen any.

I was within 3 feet of that bear (in my truck). He was munching on berries and never looked at me once. I watched him for 30 minutes. He just walked back in the woods when he was done eating. The bear didn't have a care in the world. Either did i.....
