I do not look forward to this time of the year!!

Winter does suck. For me what sucks more is 90 degree + 90% Humidity.
You can add layers of clothing but can only take so much off before getting arrested. Then you are a slave to AC.

Actually in December I am going to Charleston SC as I own a house there. 15 years ago I loved it there and was considering having the place for the winter and spend the summer in the Berkshire mountains when I retire. Maybe have two C bodies ,one in western MA and one in James Island SC. It's 10 minutes from downtown Charleston and 5 minute walk to the ocean.
In the last 10 years the place has turned into a zoo. Boeing is now making the Dreamliner just north and BMW moved in. Real estate is going crazy and sooner or later as sea level rises everything is going to tank. Hotter than F#CK in the summer, Traffic is getting bad. I am outa there and selling this spring while the market is hot .

I have worked outside for the past 2 winters and my body is having a hard time doing it anymore. I am only 44. They more layers I put on the harder the day seems for me, struggling to do my job.

Love it! Nice brisk 4 mile walk downtown yesterday. 27 degrees and sunny.

Here’s my “Florida” shirt. :D

Time to swap out the mower for the thrower.
6” deep on drive and still falling.

We got abt 3" of snow overnight last night. The low is going to dip down to around 5 tonight. That's January temps in mid November. The normal is mid 40's for highs and 30's for lows. This is ridiculous already!

F#@& winter.
Getting my hernia surgery in January at least I will miss a little bit of this winter.
We can trade opioid buzzed storyz next summer when you come down Dave. I get my 2nd bionic knee replaced the 17 of December. Worst thing about that recovery iz trying to figure out unique wayz to get your butt off the throne. I seem to remember that a garage door opener eye bolted to one of the ceiling trusses workz great, lol. Happy Holidayz Pal, Jer

After seeing the forecast here I filled up the Fury, put in the additives and parked it for the winter. Another year gone by.
Yeah...they really hit the roads hard with salt in BP! My dad used to get this Dodge wagons rustproofed by Elias in Bridgeville. EVERYTHING was covered. I remember going over the entire car with kerosene soaked rags.

About 10" of snow here, N. of Detroit.
Got it cleared off the driveway.
Supposed to go down to single digits overnight.

Best of luck there, I had 2 surgeries done in my lifetime in that department, piece of cake, whatever you do don't get the mesh, have a good hospital and surgeon do it by stitch.
Both of mine were done that way and the (hopefully) last one done at 33 years age and I've had no problems in the following 33 years.

one in James Island SC. It's 10 minutes from downtown Charleston

heh I saw that TV show 'Island Life' where a couple were looking at property in James Island.
The husband works on the BMW auto carrier ship, had to laugh at the terrain where they were looking, canal-ed out swampland, low country as they call that area, big up-sale was the water activities on the dredged out swamp, had the wifey and her BFF do the cable tow wake board attraction (laff).
Hey buy a clue, there is a reason why no one has built there for decades.

The same is going on here in Volusia county west of I-95, people don't know what basining is and why no one has built there for a century.

Yeah I can imagine. It is getting so crowded and people need a place to live.
My house there is was built in the 1940's. It has survived every hurricane since then. A few told me from the area that most likely my house will sell in just a few days because demand is so great. Maybe I will get lucky with a bidding war. We will see.

Yea good luck, if your in the old town area where I suspect was the highest area and most survivable flood-wise that would be the smart buy.

Same stupid stuff here, people still want to build on the river, even though new construction is padded up 3 or 4 feet and the only living structure part has to be 11' above flood plain as per FEMA, when it floods your high & dry but stuck, whereas 2 blocks to the west on the rise of the land (ridge) it never floods. I had to point that out to a newcomer just the last hurricane blow-by. Still think they didn't get it.

10-4. I'm just really getting tired of pushing it back in. Plus the damn DOT is cracking down on medical cards, so my borrowed time is going to be up and I don't want to put my DOT doc in a bad spot in case I need help later.

You guys should watch the HillbillyWeatherman on Youtube. He is from New Hampshire and absolutely hilarious, but he swears a lot just letting you know.
