1970 Fury III.......The next chapter

I'm right there with you on the 440. Everytime I think I can plan for a stroker build, I buy another car.
I'm only debating it because the block I have needs enough machine work, that by the time I rebuilt it stock, the investment to make it a stroker would only be at most a grand more, that and this being a back burner project, it gives me time to build up some funds in the piggy bank for it.

The debate I keep having is between the 500CI vs 512CI kits...

I mean realistically, a conversation with my trusted machinist and a few of my local Mopar racers will be in order, the goal of course will be a reliable Torquey street motor, I'm not building a trailer queen, I want something I can take the wife into town for ice cream in, or hope in it and run the highway down to Carlisle..

Be sure to share what they tell you, always like to hear from a craftsman of their trade.

I thought I read somewhere that you had to notch for clearance on the 4.25, but not the 4.15 .

I think the 4.25 with Chevy rods is really close to no notch depending on casting flaws.
Yeah, I forgot to mention they all need a rebuild. :( I'd do a stroker for one, I want to have one non stock tire scorcher at some point.
I think I may go 3G Hemi with stroker the next time around. I also would bring 8 speed along with it. Now I just need someone's pride and joy pick up truck to gut.

5.7 engine?

I'm going to stick with old school since I've stockpiled so much of it.

Yes 5.7, it has same issues as old stuff. Crap pistons, powdered metal rods, so same rules apply swap it for stroker ceank, H beams, and forged pistons.
The advantages are fuel injection and with aftermarket PCM I can turbo or supercharge and have more gears. Think Demon with A body weight.
I'll need special underwear and another licence, but what the hell it's on the bucket list.
My old street cars will stay carb'd and points.

Anyone want to buy all the 4 speed stuff?

Way too over done all of the sudden......

I already have a buildable 440 and a 727 I can rebuild to go with it...
