Today is a bag of mixed emotions for me. First of all most sadly I just parked the vert for at least 6 weeks. Not the cars fault but rather it’s the faulty driver’s fault. The good news though is that after 8 long years I am getting my shoulder replacement tomorrow morning. I will need to wear a sling for up to six weeks and am not permitted to drive until that’s gone. Good part is there aren’t many shows this year. I can still go out and dust her off while I am recovering.

I hope your shoulder R & R goes smoothly.

All the very best to you and a speedy recovery.

I was a repeat dislocator and now have 4 screws holding it together. Enjoy the pain killers while you get them, your going to hurt for a while! Good Luck

That would suck, sorry to hear about that. Mine is due to arthritis and it’s completely worn out. Pain killers don’t do much anymore. Next are my knees so the next year and a half are going to suck. Anyways the pain of the surgery is temporary and it will get better. Right now I am pretty much an invalid hoping for better times.

I feel for you, after I broke my arm at the shoulder the surgery was a *****, but the therapy was worse. It took a year to get back close to normal.

Not exactly what I wanted to hear but I was already prepared mentally for that scenario. It’s good to know the truth so you can do what it takes and keep in mind it will get better. Right now it’s only getting worse and I can’t do what I want.

Best of luck with your surgery/recovery, is that turn out gear in the background?

I can't speak for total replacement, but for my repair job. I had some of the prettiest shades of bruising in my armpit that you'd never believe. The Physical Terror to get your arm back afterwards is no fun either.

From what I understand its supposed to be an easier recovery than injuries. No matter what it will be difficult and I am sure I will have some of those nasty bruises as well. Time will tell.

Not sure what you mean by turnout gear.
It's the coat and pants Firefighters wear, looked like a set on the wall behind your car, (black w/ stripes.) PS, great car, the color really sets it off.

Nope just a set of coveralls I used when I worked with the mines. Thanks for letting me know.
