I recently bought and am repairing a 1966 Chrysler New Yorker and I appreciate any advice or useful information to accomplish my goal of a safe and fun vehicle.

A little more about me and the 66. After looking at my New Yorker I purchased it at auction about a month ago. It is currently in my too small garage and I am trying to get the beast back on the road after 8 years of not being on the road.I am not a mechanic but I managed to replace the rear drum brakes and hardware, some lines, master cylinder and am now looking at the front brakes.I have also done plugs, rotor, cap, fuel and air filter and pulled the carpet out of the front due to a wet floor from rain leaking in.Ordered tie rods yesterday too.The 440 runs good I believe and I may or may not have gone around the block twice because I couldn't help myself. I bought a 600 page Chrysler digital repair book online that has been very helpful too. Thanks for reading this !

Damn, I just left Rochester. Remind me to bring spare parts along for you next time I visit family.

I have a stalled 48 Dodge Convertible project there also that I need to rectify

My son works in Palo Alto and lives in San Carlos, I see you are in the Bay Area.

Yes, I live in Mountain View near Palo Alto. Not too many old beater C-bodies here, but 10 miles away in any direction I have seen some.
