1/4 mile from I turn down a side road going home in the dark. It’s down a steep hill soon as you turn. My headlights shine on three young bears strolling down the road. I almost nailed the middle one in his backside. Ended up screeching the tires. Just reacted and stomped the old manual brakes.

Neither the bears nor the Fury were harmed but it was very close.

Power drums???

I sure hope they were not black bears. Because if you'd hit one of them, it could of been considered a hate crime.

Glad to know that "damage control" was minimized. Any indentations in the seat springs from the leg pressure against the brake pedal? Does the horn wotk?

Enjoy!

The horn does work but it happened pretty fast. The screech of tires was loud enough to scatter them.

Yes, I daily drive it. Mostly to and from work. So far I haven’t any problems other than the transmission starting to show its age.

Great to see an old mopar being driven and loved. Mama Mopar blessed is with the 727. It certainly may not be the best but it can fair it’s own. Generally you have to deliberately abuse it for it to give up on you

Do you drive your car in the winter? IIRC They don’t use salt over there?

I had a thread about the transmission. It slips when cold on hills. Ready for rebuild probably.

I drive my car in winter. We don’t get a lot of snow but we usually get two or three. I drive the wife’s SUV during snow. Yes, they use salt and have started laying brine before a snow is forecasted.
