Morning! Back in July of 2019 I was told about a Chrysler for sale locally. I immediately went to look at it. It was reasonably straight, a little bit of body damage on the passenger side, which is the only side I could see from the other side of the fence it was behind. At the time I still had three C-Bodies and didn’t need another one even though this one is a 2-Door. Fast forward to yesterday. I had taken pics of the car and a pic of the for sale sign. Just for fun I called the number yesterday and the owner still had it! I went to look at it and it’s pretty cool. 383, 2 barrel with 727 auto. Runs good.
AC car with newly reupholstered seats, carb rebuild and new tires. Needs carpet and a headliner and some body work on the passenger side. We made a deal and I’ll go pick it up next weekend. It has a black vinyl top and doesn’t appear to have much if any rust. It was bought new locally in Oregon.

haha! Two currently. I sold a 4 door 66 Newport and a 66 4-door New Yorker.
I agree. That burnt reddish orange is a neat color with black interior.

If you get the chance, post a picture of the fender tag. It appears like turbine bronze but years of fade and correct transfer of color on a computer screen can be deceiving.

Very nice score! Great body style, color combo and really solid looking. It doesn't look like it was ever hacked or butchered up by any previous owners. That alone is a huge advantage. Keep us posted on any and all progress. Have fun!

Dangerously close to the “you suck” list. I mean, for my money, you’re there but... one more find like that and people will start to talk.
Anyway, I saw a lot of great cars in the PNW. As long as they stayed out of the rain they all seemed to survive quite well. This looks like no exception. Great find, awesome car and awesome color! Best of luck with er!

Haha! I’ll take that as a compliment! It is a another nice find. In a world of Chargers, Darts, Super Bees and Road Runners it’s in a category I can afford and is unique in a lot of ways. Pretty awesome to get big block power in a very cool body style that most people are not looking for. The roof line, body lines and front and rear styling really do it for me on these 66 Newport’s. Love the dash layout too.
