I saw this video on Youtube the other day and I want to know everyones thoughts, could this be a 1970 S/23 or GT? I'm thinking it could be with the road wheels, and at least to me I don't see side molding holes. It could be a nice car if restored

It is surely not a GT, those only came with a 440. Could be a 383 equipped S23, if so, it should have an A51 option code on the build tag. It is missing the original engine and transmission and most of the rest of the under hood items. Showing a lot of rust where the vinyl top used to be. It will likely have a rotted rear window channel and trunk floor in addition to the other obvious rust. To bad, this was a well equipped car to start with. As far as a bringing this one back, it will have to be a labor of love as this will be an expensive and time consuming restoration.

It is a s/23. He posted the car on FB while back.

I figured it looked like it, it would be a great match to your GT there Charles. Do you know if he ever saved it and did the engine transplant? I really hope he saved it but hope he did NOT do the transplant

I dont know much more about it other then the one time he posted it and was thinking about doing a youtube series on it. It was just after I picked my GT up. I think its an original L-code 383-2bbl car and that it was either missing the original engine or it was locked up.

It is not a GT...
It is not a S23.....
It is a Sport Fury 383, auto power steering, brakes, windows & seat, rimblow, console...
The floor behind the drivers seat is pretty "thin" from sitting outside a
few years and no quarter glass.. The short block and trans were in the
car ..The top of the motor was in the trunk... It used to belong to a (former)
member here..... Got sold off couple years ago I *think* for around 800$ w/o title...

It is mine and it is not a GT or S23. I was going to sell it to the guy that posted it on YouTube but he never came back to get it so I started building it myself. I started a build thread V10 Fury.

Well done, would have been easier to scrap it but with a modern V-10 it'll be great. Best wishes for your build and not too many problems along the way.

Not that it matters all that much but could we see the body code plate? It appears to be one of the highest optioned 70 Sport Furys I have ever seen...........................

Yes it is and I can't post them because at some time before I got it someone removed them. Yes it had so many options it had 2. I do have a build sheet for it however it is at my office and we are working from home now but I will post it on my build thread when I get it.
