I agree. Looks like a 65 only big block frame. You have to modify and weld on your 67 style mount, or find the oddball 65 only bracket. Problem is, many blocks don't have the extra hole on the front side to accommodate it.

I get the concern, I don't drive it much these days. It'll get its turn at some point. I had another 9 1/4 to go in but it was almost as bad. That one had a sure grip in it though, I plan to go through the rear end when I put it in.

Not loose enough for stuff to flop around, but loose enough to cause a clunk. Pretty common on 9 1/4's. The 9 1/4 in my '85 W150 you can physically see the yoke get sucked in when you put in reverse, if you stand by the wheel and look in. It bangs like crazy, but goes down the road fine.

My 73 New Yorker developed a similar klunk the last few years I was driving it. I assumed it was the crush sleeve in the 489 case loosening up. I have a couple of other center sections to swap in to see if it fixes it, but never got around to it before I tore it apart to fix the rust on it.

That looks like it yeah. I could probably reuse my bottom side, it's really only the top one that the rubber has split and squished out. I'll have to see if he'd willing to ship to Canada.

Looking for one upper and lower rubber body mount bushing for the rear "leg" of the frame. Need just one side.

On the '71 up frames there is provision to put a bolt there but the factory did not. That is where the older non isolated frame ended like in pic CHP posted, but a '73 frame like yours has the longer "legs" that extend past the transmission crossmember, that have the larger bolt and bushings...

I'm sure it can be done but if you forgot something you have a good chance at buckling the fenders. I pulled the frame out of my '73 New Yorker in the fall and had the front sheetmetal off in a few hours.

Anybody able to measure the back of the later style frame for me? I have the body mount areas and floor pretty much done, working on the frame next.
