I am going to be removing my vinyl top and addressing some minor rust issues under it.
How does the chrome trim attach at the bottom of the vinyl? Also the threehundred emblems on the b pillar?
Thanks!
Has anyone done this already?
I picked up a complete '65 Fury console with shifter at a swap meet.
The '65 trans was shifted internally and had a separate shifter cable just for park.
Wondering if I can use the shifter with a single B&M shift cable on my later model linkage shift 727.
I use a thick gasket from Edelbrock. You have to use longer carb studs.
I've even seen a buddy with the F brand of car use a thin aluminum heat shield that extended past the float bowls.

I degreed the cam per Comp Cams instructions for Intake centerline.
That is, to note degree wheel @ .050 before make lobe lift and .050 after. Add the two degrees and divide by 2.
The result was 106.5 which is close enough to the 106 on the cam card.

The speakers are 4" mounted on the surface. since I didn't enclose the back to allow the radio the breathe, the bass was kind of non-existant. I eventually put a slimline kenwood sub under the seat about the size of a shoebox lid. Its more than enough for me. The gauges are custom Speedhut 2...
Thanks, mines a 68 but I think they are nearly the same. I'm, lucky enough to have a neighbor that knows what he's doing. I fix his truck and he helps me with my wood projects. Including my '54 trailer.
