help with removing chrome trim on vinyl roof. '68 fastback 300

I am going to be removing my vinyl top and addressing some minor rust issues under it. How does the chrome trim attach at the bottom of the vinyl? Also the threehundred emblems on the b pillar? Thanks!

    Putting a 65 cable shifter/console in my 68 Chrysler with standard 727

Has anyone done this already? I picked up a complete '65 Fury console with shifter at a swap meet. The '65 trans was shifted internally and had a separate shifter cable just for park. Wondering if I can use the shifter with a single B&M shift cable on my later model linkage shift 727.

Nice single malt but supply is limited

Love Balvenie! Wish I were there. Will it get you drunk enough to forget the price? Good, then give it to my wife while I go buy another car.

    1968 440 carb spacer (wood)

I use a thick gasket from Edelbrock. You have to use longer carb studs. I've even seen a buddy with the F brand of car use a thin aluminum heat shield that extended past the float bowls. Running a bit richer, and retarding the timing will help cool things down.

Fel-Pro cork Valve cover gaskets SUCK!

I will check the dipstick. But I doubt it. My pcv valve is new as well. My oil pan is almost as leaky as my valve covers. I torqued the bolts, a week later all bolts loose as the gasket shrinks or crushes. Torqued again, loose just three days later. The leaks are getting smaller but geez how...

    Advancing the cam timing

Thanks guys, I'm pulling a small vintage camper with my '68 300, and I think that advancing will be in my best interests. I put a new Comp Cam with .470 lift and 262 dur 21-222-4(Single Bolt) - Xtreme Energy™ Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshafts I also have a bag of comp cams degree offset...

    Advancing the cam timing

I installed the cam "straight up" I degreed the cam per Comp Cams instructions for Intake centerline. That is, to note degree wheel @ .050 before make lobe lift and .050 after. Add the two degrees and divide by 2. The result was 106.5 which is close enough to the 106 on the cam card. Then...

    Cup Holder's for C-Bodies

The speakers are 4" mounted on the surface. since I didn't enclose the back to allow the radio the breathe, the bass was kind of non-existant. I eventually put a slimline kenwood sub under the seat about the size of a shoebox lid. Its more than enough for me. The gauges are custom Speedhut 2...

    Cup Holder's for C-Bodies

Thanks, mines a 68 but I think they are nearly the same. I'm, lucky enough to have a neighbor that knows what he's doing. I fix his truck and he helps me with my wood projects. Including my '54 trailer. I bought some stainless cup holders off ebay. Poker table cups? But they were a bit too...

Dim dashlights, new radio and gauges.

So I built a console box for a radio and some gauges. The Speedhut gauges look fantasic. Then there's my original instrument cluster lighting. Now its way too dim. I might put a resistor in the line to dim the gauges a bit. Yes this is with the lights on. . . Anybody ever use any brighter...
