I ordered this transmission mount made by Energy Suspension for my 1972 Imperial. I can say that this is an upgrade that is well worth the money. You can reuse your original mount, but you remove the original rubber bushing and install the polyurethane bushing.
Mine was so bad it almost crumbled out of the bracket, and I just burned the rest out with a torch.
An application of dielectric grease is all you need to lube up the new bushing to install it. I’m so impressed with how much of a difference in NVH and responsiveness it made I will be doing it for my other C-bodies.
