Great stuff! I remember in grade school, if it was in the day they's set up TV's in the class, (rare back then), to watch launches and splashdowns.
 
And That's the Way it Was Today...... Wednesday July 16th, 1969. For CBS News, I'm Walter Cronkite.
And for the next week thereafter, I was glued to the 25" Zenith Console. It was one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind, and one permanent flat spot in the carpet.

And now they’re bringing the engines back to their own landing pads after their job is done, amazing!
 
we had just come back from Europe that week and went over to a friend of the fathers in Toronto to watch the moon landing..some things you never forget
