1968 Newport Wiring diagram

Does any body have a 1968 Newport specific wiring diagram.

I am working on my wiring using a generic “68 Chrysler” wiring diagram. It seems to be correct but I am not sure as many wires are the wrong colours. I have searched online but can’t seem to find a specific diagram. I can buy them online but I am afraid I will simply get the genetic “68 Chrysler” diagram with my purchase.

Best to find yourself a real factory service manual and look at the wiring diagrams in that.

Buy a CD and print out the pages as needed.

Unfortunately, they don't have a '68 Chrysler FSM listed there. The "real" part I was referring to is the "F" in FSM for "factory".

MyMopar has some wiring diagrams that are a lot better than nothing, but you really can't beat a FSM for the wiring diagrams that cover all the models and options.

Spend the $30 and get the large one sided size.

Between it and an FSM, you will eliminate the grey area.

Something for you to consider:

When it comes to the electrical system, don't guess.

Learn what is right, and fix what is wrong.

Guessing can turn your car into a charred pile of scrap metal.

What's not real about the ones on MyMopar?

The wiring diagrams in the wiring diagram section of MyMopar are from a third party book, not from Chrysler.

In general, the color codes for the wires didn't change yearly, so a '67 C-body wiring schematic would probably work fine, unless there was a difference in available equipment between the two model years.

The wiring schematics in the Chilton "mini-manuals" (for specific vehicles in a particular model range) "are representative", but not exactly accurate for a particular vehicle in the model year range. Which is why a Chrysler-sourced schematic for the particular model year can be best.

What circuits are you having issues with? Just curious.
