Went to the website. $21,500.00

Yes listed as a 383 and pricey with no AC.

For that kind of money you would think you could get road wheels, or at the very least, factory wheel covers. Not the JC Whitney cheesey spoked wheel covers.

You guys are Efing nuts! 20 years after the rise of the C body you guys are thinking they still have no value.
That car is worth 18 - 20 k all day long.

if you could get it for 18k and throw another grand at it for details, you would have a show stopper.

Well I hope you are right polara71. I hope these C bodies continue to rise in price. Just not used to seeing anything over $20,000.00 for any 60's C body.

Being a Fuselage helps its cause. We"ve witnessed solid C bodies going for well into the 20s starting 5 years ago and they are climbing higher and faster.
Again, solid, original cars.

Hagerty do heep their fingers on the pulse of the old car market.
They valued our 69 Fury III $18500.00.
Just saying as a reference knowing we will never get that being a 318 with no air.
But that is the replacement value on a total loss or theft should we want another and the green F3 is very similar.

Maybe I should raise my insurance coverage. I had both of mine valued at $12000.

Probably. It won't hurt. Ask yourself, what will it cost for me to replace this car if its a total loss. Add a bit to that answer and call your insurance company.

If one looks at Gateway's prices, everything is high-dollar and very few sell thru ebay. (same as with many brokers on ebay).
Maybe they are using ebay as advertisement and sell in-person - but many of their cars are relisted *many* times (also true of many brokers on ebay).
Brokers are always highest-priced.

So logically, then, I have a hard time believing they have priced this car (or any car) at what the market is willing to pay.

I saw it first listed perhaps a month ago, and IIRC it was on consignment, and it went non-available at end of 1st auction.
My hunch is the owner wanted $15, they tacked their markup on it, owner saw how high the price went, 'reclaimed' it to sell himself at his $15, and that didn't work either, so now it's back. (again, just my hunch)
