Apparently, $125-150 buys you a new engine harness granted you have the original to go off of. This one needs almost all... exterior fuse block, engine, lights, a/c, horn, etc. I am not opposed to buying a 71 New Yorker less motor/trans. I have run across a few, owners say wiring is gone...

May go that route. Most my engine bay wiring is cut or missing. I did find another '71 T/C 440 that I may purchase just for that reason, but this wagon is too nice to part and dont want to go that route if there is a good donor New Yorker. Thanks

I need all uncut engine bay wiring harnesses for my 71 T/C 440. I believe the 71 New Yorker and maybe Newport will work. Thanks, Rick

Thanks for the post. Is this one of those outside of the barn finds? I mean, if it were inside a barn... the woodgrain would look better than it does at 29K. I researched the wiring harnesses and each year it seems are just slightly different regarding the engine bay(emissions, switches, etc)...

I thought so too, yes, a Bosch electric roof motor by Golde. I bet there are some stories there! :)

Some manufacturers were offering power sunroofs by 1969(T-Bird, Mark lll) and even more were by 1971, mostly through American Sunroof Corporation based out of Southern California. I guess you would have to base originality on assembly and parts used i.e. factory switch, placement of switch, etc...

More than likely. Power trunk did not work, did not get a look. Windows had issues, typical. Oil pressure gauge out. Toggle switches for fan, ATC is out. I would be ticked if it showed up running as it were, see it too often in my business. Nice back drop for pics... smoke and mirrors

Parked at a repair shop. In the midst of conversation with shop owner explaining it needing a valve job quickly reduced to maybe just needing carb rebuild as car owner showed up, as he thought I might be interested. The paint job is very nice and beats the original dark gold/copper. Engine bay...

Saw and started the car in person. Needs carb rebuild and or valve job, and yes receiver hitch. Color change and seats redone aftermarket?. He said was asking 6-7... Uff!

Wish it was further along in the drivability department. Keep thinking a roach 71 NY'r or Newport with power everything will pop up a few miles away so I can snag wiring harnesses and such... Lol I believe '69 will work which I have access to. Kudos to all who find and post these gems that are...
