What kind/brand of ignition system do I have?

Man I’m so impressed at the knowledge you all have off the top of your head, thank you! I found the LX-405 but I could never find a wiring diagram, looks like they changed a little over the years. I didn’t wanna burn anything up just plugging a new one in. For the time and effort to find that...

What kind/brand of ignition system do I have?

Hope everyone is having a good day! My car died after a through/sloppy car wash, oops! It was sitting in the driveway idling + drying out, it missed once then shut off. No big deal: it was on my list to go through the ignition system, it’s been dead reliable but I think that was more luck than...

67 Fury wagon dome light lens

I’m guessing you need the cover with 3 “prongs” instead of the two prong version you can find all over for fairly cheap. (My ‘68 used the 3 “tab” version) I picked one up off eBay a while ago for $17 after shipping but it looks like that seller doesn’t have them anymore. They pop up every once...

    Carb/Throttle cable pin?

I’ve always heard it referred to as a carburetor or throttle stud. There are various reproductions out there, search around for the best price :) This is just the first link I came across: HWC441 - Throttle Stud Mopar Dodge Carter Holley Edit: This is the one you want, I think. The nut is...

    Under dash light bulb.

Oh man it was late last night and I wasn’t thinking. Yes that’s a much simpler solution. I’m sure the instrument or ash try circuit can handle one more bulb, I’ll even make it an LED and it won’t count haha Thanks again!

    Under dash light bulb.

Hate to be lazy and ask but where does your light plug in at? My 68 Fury doesn’t have the A01 (?) package/time delay relay but I’d like to add the ignition light to come on with the running lights + headlights without getting into relays and the works. Thank you!

Will Permatex 81730 flowable silicone fog up my original glass more?

Wow, that is a ton of good info and I really appreciate the links. I've never seen that before but seems exactly what I need/was looking for. This is the route I'll probably be going. I'll let you know how it goes! The glass is already in place and yes i was looking for something to run...

Will Permatex 81730 flowable silicone fog up my original glass more?

If I use something like Permatex 81730 will the acidic nature of the silicone make my original glass fog between the layers more? I've always heard to never use any sealer that "smells like vinegar" on this classic glass and it could lead to problems. I would like to stay away from urethane in...

    lets see those altenator

I've been out of the loop for a while, but I really like those period correct belts! If you don't mind: what are they and where did you get them? Thank you!

    Cowl inlet to blower/heater box?

I know i'm not the only one with a rotten section of (plastic? cloth?) tube from the oval cowl inlet to the square heater box/blower? What is everyone dong for reproductions? I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find one. I like to think I'm pretty creative but I have no idea how to remake...

1968 Plymouth Fury II North Carolina Highway Patrol

So its been a while and I hope everyone's holidays are starting off great! I've had a little spare time to get caught up everything, I feel like the pictures do most of the talking. The idea of "Hooptie" is to modernize a some but leave the surviving history. Cleaned up and clear coated what...

    body plug kits...1969 chrysler 300

I might be crazy cheap for doing this: but the company that originally manufactured the body plugs is still in business. If you only need a couple plugs they will send you a 3 pack of "samples" for free. They aren't all available anymore but a large majority of them are right on their website...

    Aftermarket Switch Cover? Switch Ends?

So I asked my little brother to help freshen up the dash. There was already one broken switch cover (dont know the official nomenclature). Unfortunately he got a little overzealous and thought they all came apart. The switches themselves are still good and would hate to spend a ton of money, any...

1968 Plymouth Fury II North Carolina Highway Patrol

A few pictures after getting back: Like i said everything on the car works great, except the air conditioning, but the compressor still kicks on with the push of the A/C button! A small oil leak over the years made a big mess but nothing really to clean up. Didn't even know there...

1968 Plymouth Fury II North Carolina Highway Patrol

New member but I thought this would be a cool addition to ZedR's thread about his Fury. I purchased this car about 2 years ago as a small project, drove out to the middle of nowhere North Carolina with some cash, drove 3 hours home to Charlotte in a car I knew for 20 minutes...
