The oil is new, and it is a remote gauge not original. When driving it seems to work away at 20#s, The engine is not rebuilt and seems strong. I guess I will for now keep an eye on it. What would be an acceptable oil grade change to push pressure up a bit.. Thanks for the input,,, Dave

On my 65 Polara 383 I have an idiot light on the dash, that comes from back of block drivers side. A few inches toward the passenger side roughly same location on block is an Allen plug, Can I remove the plug and use a proper oil gauge and line to mount inside below the dash, My guess is yes so...

When the gas peddle is push down should the trans linkage begin to travel back at the same time or should there be a delay before it starts to move, when I kick it down when driving it does not seem to go far enough to engage the passing gear, info would be great,, Dave (Catfish65)

With the valve cover removed and the engine revving approximately 1K.. should the oil flying around or just be a slower drip and flow around the rockers, it does not throw oil out toward the inner fender. Checking to see what would be considered normal,,, Dave (Catfish-65)

I did change the valve body and put 3 new "O" rings in at that time if they moved would that affect it, that way,, DH

Hooked up the power steering pump on my recent engine install 383. pump is on engine, after installing I filled with new fluid to bottom of neck (cold) I have the engine running now up off the ground and when running, the pump make the wheels travel to the left side on its ownI can return to...

Went to start my 65 Polara and had nothing at the key.. Have lots of battery and it will crank over and start when the terminals on the starter ar crossed,, Where would a good place to search for the problem start, Not real familiar with the starting system for Mopars, Appreciate any help...
