Soft lines for ‘73 disc brake conversion? / What Steel Rims Work?

I’m aware of the size, but rather - is there a specific offset? The calipers for the C Bodies are pretty beefy. I’m wondering if these Summit wheels would work. Coker Tire MPRST158P Coker Mopar Standard Satin Black Powdercoated Wheels | Summit Racing

Soft lines for ‘73 disc brake conversion? / What Steel Rims Work?

We are pretty much done with the brake lines up front !! Didn’t get the chance to take pics before I left, but they are where they need to be. Now the challenge is to find the right soft hose for the calipers. My New Yorker was originally a Drum / Drum car but I’ve since upgraded to a ‘73 style...

    Rookie Brake Question

The car doesn’t drive, that was just clamped on so we could break in the motor and direct the fumes outside. This is pretty much how it looks now. After my brakes are plumbed and I get my dash back from being re-wired / upgraded I can get the car moving under its own power and off to the...

    Rookie Brake Question

As I’m starting to regain momentum on my neglected 68, I’ve shifted focus to (in my opinion) the most IMPORTANT system of them all - the braking system. I was lucky enough to score a set of 72 disc brakes for my car and they’ve been connected almost 2 years now. However, now that it’s time to...

1964 New Yorker gets 1978 Cordoba 11.75-disc brakes.

It won’t, you need the 69-73 Factory C Body disc brake setup. The disc brake setup mentioned in this thread for the 64 NY works only for 57-64 Mopar full size autos, mainly people use 76-89 F M or J body setups but I do know some B bodies work - such as the Doba mentioned

Power Steering: Not As You Know It!

Call me crazy, but I guess sometimes it’s nice to embrace modern convenience and perhaps even more practical technology than the aging technology of yesteryear. I guess what I’m saying is, a guy put an idea into my head that actually makes sense and sounds pretty cool if done properly. Someone...

What Kind Of Wheels Are These?

I talk a lot of trash about my ride but I’d say she’s come a long ways :’)

Wish it was! My 68 is a piece of junk LOL.

How to properly measure MC / Pushrod length? - Back to the Brakes!

Things have been slowly but surely gaining momentum on the 68. As you may recall, we finally got it running, and more than that - running GOOD! Take a look-see here, after our friend helped me tune her up (for now.) I am now turning my focus onto other things like getting my wiring in order...

Tie Rod Ends for a '62

So now I've been making a little "punch list" of things to buy once I get the '62 300 home in Santa Maria. So far I've acquired the FMJ body front disc brake setup that many of our fellow Moparians have added to a number of '57-'64 Mopars. Pretty excited about that, and with the right caliper...

    Disc brake conversion 65 Monaco

There are many threads here regarding this conversion. @Ross Wooldridge is a pro on this subject and has taught me a thing or two about this setup! The main issue with aftermarket kits is that they were not designed specifically for our powerful 4,500+ lb C-Bodies effectively. They’re a combo...

    Hydraulics Suspensions

Another thing I see a lot too. Most people who “attempt” to do this modification really end up screwing up the car to the point where this work is irreversible, or they actually do bag it but it turns out terrible. There’s an art to doing this specific kind of suspension. When you mess with...

    Hydraulics Suspensions

Also too, the ORIGINAL purpose of hydraulics was “lay and play.” This meant that you only raised the car when necessary. Here in So Cal, the story goes - Lowriders and Kustomizers were tired of getting stopped by traffic cops for low cars. The fix? A suspension where you can change the ride...

    Hydraulics Suspensions

It’s easy to add hydraulics (juice) to a C Body. Hydraulic cylinder goes where the shocks go w/ a power ball welded to the LCA. Your setup is almost bolt on for juice. Expect to raise the transmission tunnel so the driveline doesn’t rub but you really need to do that to any car you juice...

Can someone tell me if I did this right?

Thank you fellas! I don’t know why, but those dang anti-rattle clips were a LOT more work getting on right than they should’ve! Do you also use the pin positioner clips? I’ve heard some say they don’t really do anything.

Can someone tell me if I did this right?

Got all my bearings packed proper, and calipers rebuilt! The anti rattle clip was a little difficult to get on. Wondering if I put it on right?

Help w/ '72 Disc Brake Installation

Hi all, I'm at the point now where I can refresh the 1972 C-Body disc brake setup I was able to get from Chris here on the forum! The setup is going to be installed on my 1968 New Yorker. I'm cleaning everything up and prepping all my parts for paint as we speak. I have NEVER in my life put disc...
