    Don't buy a current aftermarket mount because they are 5 star garbage. Take your old mount bracket and use a urethane insert. Anchor brand is good for using on a golf cart.

    You can bolt a edlebrock carb to a tq intake without a adapter plate just takes some grinding.

    On a car without a recovery system the coolant level in the radiator should be kept lower so that does not happen. Try that and see what happens.

    And when you put it back together pack some strip caulk into the socket to hold the bolt so you can reach the hard to get areas
