Wasn’t really looking for another 61 project.
Came across this 61 2dr Dept of the Army wagon at the Big M BBQ.
6cyl 3 speed manual
Some floor rust, but not too bad.
Could not resist.

On salvage job I did a few years ago I had
Come across 2 5 gallon sealed cans of Army issued
Viet Nam era Army olive drab.
I gave them away to an Army Jeep collector.
I will have to see if he still has them.
So will you repaint it olive drab and do the door lettering?

3-speed manual wagon. Cool!

These army cars were all white from the factory or.....?

I like it! Nice score Ken!

Easy restoration right there, all you need is a brush and a roller, some stencil paint and call it done, lol.

Kidding aside that’s really cool!

Drove an '66 Army Dodge stepside 1/2 ton /6 4sp for a long time, in original OD green, nomenclature tags on the dash, no radio.

Sold it to some dude who showed back up at my house with it painted in stars and stripes, kinda broke my heart he painted over the OD green.

Only one like it I'd ever seen.

This is the '66 Army D100, I loved that truck but I was getting a '65 Power Wagon together for a work truck and when it became operational I sold the 2WD truck.

Edit, maybe D200, I see DANA 60 full floating axles coming out the back wheels.

These are photos in an album, pre digital age.

The bumpers are stupidly straight. Apparently the base guys drove it sober ;]

The CAT is a 1953 D69U, probably the toughest machine I've ever seen.

If you painted it camouflage, it’d still grab attention.

Seriously cool car!

I wish they made a two-door Seventies’ wagon (such as a Fusie using the Fury post coupe’s quarter windows), but it would have gone over like air conditioners in Antarctica.

Has no motor. I’m going to keep it a /6
Have a great running 61 /6 already
Have this license plate picked out for show.
