1966 Newport 383 Two Door Hard Top

A buddy of mine is thinking about grabbing this to replace his recently died buick. Thoughts? Estimated Mileage? (I told him 11 around town and 16-18 highway depending how he tunes the secondaries.)

Nice looking cruiser. Rims got to go though. The chrome looks like it is in decent shape. If he is thinking about mileage, he is in the wrong hobby. Just my thoughts!

Arlen: A great guy.
Several years ago he hit some tough times and put it up for sale.
Ended up keeping it which I was happy for.
After all that, I'm kind of sad to see it up for sale again. he loved that car.

I think i remember a thread were Arlen said he did sell it so I don't think it is him selling it although he does live in Grand Rapids.

Hard times and selling cars - I know the feeling: Dad had to trade his near mint 31 Ford Model A for a divorce attorney to keep us kids. He had to let go the 68 300 for grocery $$$.

While my interested buddy isn't a moparhead, I know he would take good care of it.
