In late 2003 I purchased a Fury III convert. nearby in munich, bad condition, but so you could see where to take attention.

one lucky think: the rockerpanels were solid rock.
The car was driveable in thios condition, but traction was raelly bad.

Here are the facts:

I had to pay a lot of attention: the car was very rusty, so I hasd to made a lot of panels by myself.
In 2004 i knew no supplier for bodypanels, only sherman for the quarters (they didn`t fit exactly)

this is the place, where the front frame meets the body at the firewall:

I had to redo the panel, because the shims between the frame und the support were not the same as in 67....
also I had to drill the spot welding points, claaning and rust prohibition and then
welding together again.

learning by doing ? yes, i had a good teacher, my friends company is doing in trucks and so...
making the body like cooling containers and so on.

I´m not a car mechanics, but I like to do welding and other stuff on cars...

additional frame rails to strengthen up the rear frame:

the rear crossmember: (here i found the original paint)

what a long lasting job, to drill and to find (first) :confused2: all of the spot welded places...(there are 3 layers of sheet metals), rust Prodtection with the
POR15 stuff...

commando what means BSíng - i am not used to these"shorteners"

NO, I am not a bodyman, i had a really, really good teacher, and really, learning by doing.

Only the difficult weldings (front frame support, rear frame rails were welded not by myself)

Do you like more pics?

BSing = Bull Shitting
and if you weren't a bodyman before, you are now! Next thing you're going to tell us is that you accomplished what we've seen so far in your spare time over a 4 week period...

I am totally awestruck by this kind of metal and body work. You have my utmost admiration for the work you are doing here. Mighty fine !

If I could do body work like that it'd have saved me 46 yearz on the road and she wouldn't never have had to drive to Toledo, climb up on an I-80 overpass, lifted her dress and pointed to my little friend when I approched the overpass and said hey stupid IT'S TIME TO TURN NORTH FOR AH WHILE AND GET REACQUAINTED. It'z called whiteline fever and don't ask
