I finally got a call back from my mechanic today and they are indicating my coolant blow out is because of a bad heater control valve. Still no pic forwarded to me so I am dubious, but following along for the time being...

They say that are having a hard time finding a replacement part, so I am coming to my most trusted resource for these things. Can anyone enlighten me on where I might find this heater control valve for a '68 300 with a 440? I am not looking for stock, any suitable, reliable replacement will do.

Edit: I deleted the AC on this car. With an AC delete, can I just bypass this valve and just have the hose connect at the firewall?

Thank you all in advance!

That is an excellent tutorial for the heater control valve. Thank you for posting. I will be using it when I replace the heater core in my Fury.
