I remember back in the day (1973) my friend (worked at Peter's Dodge in Milwaukee) bought a 67 GTX, 4 speed, Dana 60, with a blown 440 for $500. Got a 440 out of wrecked 70 RR in a junk yard and had the 67 running for less than a grand.

"Back in the day" that car was six years old and that was 25% of the cars sticker price ... probably a lot of money back then ..
