$100,000 into it and he wants 60 grand out of it. He picked the wrong car to throw buckets of cash at. He must have hated his parents to blow his inheritance on that thing.

1969 Chrysler Newport Custom, Resto-Mod. Professionally built 500 cu in, 600+ h/p, 6-pack, 4-speed manual, (a833) with 2-speed gear vendor, (5-speed ). Quick Time bellhousing, Hurst shifter, Mcleod hydraulic comp clutch, Dana 60, Bear's axles, 4/10 gears, front disc brakes, steel braided brake hoses, extra-large torsion bars, Auto Meter / Sun gauges, original working 8-track with AM radio, glovebox AM / FM / disc player, 3" custom exhaust and headers, Cal Tracs, custom wire holders, BFG 275 / 60 /15" all round with 15" x 8" Magnum 500s plus spare in trunk, electric vacuum pump and holding tank for brakes. I'm the second owner of this and the original mileage of the car was 47,500 miles, after complete restoration with all genuine Mopar parts she has now clocked 1,900 miles. The seat looks very far forward. I wonder if the owner is that short? He still digs his 8 tracks though!

Yea, I made that mistake before ... Not to the tune of 90K but I sunk a pretty good chunk into my first Monaco. I'd have been far better off to save the car the 440 and disk brakes came from, kept the Monaco and it dead stock... and would have been the happy owner of two really awesome C Bodies.
I have sunk a big chunk of cash in my 78 NYB full well it still wouldn't be worth anything.
In my mind I have a 69 RR.....with different sheet metal. LOL. It's just a car that is a lot of fun to drive.

That's pretty much all that matters. I think about what it would have been like to have my old Monaco AND the donor car but hell, I wouldn't have kept both and I wouldn't trade the cross country drive in that Monaco WITH that 440 for anything.
