She is quite far from me!
But checks all the right boxes!
Big block, air tilt cruise power windows...

Looks pretty sweet. I’d actually put some deluxe wheel covers on it and sell the road wheels. It might hover into the near ideal if it had a Superlite!

I went to see this car today. Well optioned and actually a good looking car in person. I liked it a lot. I wish it was in better shape, even though it was well oiled it had some old repairs, lower quarters and doglegs. It was sitting on some grass so it was hard to see underneath but it wasn't that clean so I wasn't that interested.
It had some heavy duty rear springs and a trailer hitch. The 383 seemed to run well but overall I personally wasn't interested so I didn't get into too much depth with inspecting it.

Many thanks @Beep Beep Dave for posting about FP43L0D282681 -- and for posting the tag.

Note that the VIN starts with FP:

--> The first digit of the VIN, F, matches that of FM23G0D327189 (a very basic 1970 2dr Polara, built like this one in Belvidere, that sold in Flin Flon in Spring 2020). It is different from that of DP23L0R134210 (a 2dr Monaco 500, built in Windsor, that @Tobias74 sold (Edit: put up for sale) last winter).

--> The second digit of the VIN, P, is for the Canadian Monaco 500.

Question for Canadian members and especially for @kmccabe56 -- what is with the F vs. D digits? Regina, my FQ3 Canadian-market Belvidere-built 1970 Polara convertible is DL27L0D148841 FWIW.

For an Ontario car it is in incredible shape. Pity about the third brake light...I hate it. That rust (which I am all too familiar with) in the pics means it needs a new stub to be right. Start flaking the spray on rocker guard and you'll see the hidden rot there.

Adjust price accordingly. I'm thinking $2500.

You are probably right. I didn't like what I saw but this car was oiled regularly which sure helped it. From 5 feet it looks pretty darn good. Like any old car I hope it finds the right home. It has lots of good things going for it.
I think the previous owners took pretty good care of it.
The car has at least 113,000 miles on it...who knows maybe its been around 2x

Dave

Did I sell a 70 Monaco 500 last year? I don’t think I did

I still have that car, maybe I will get it painted in his original colour and put it back together but first I have to finish the 70 GT

Oh, and for the record...I'm not saying the car should not be saved...It definitely should...just for a realistic price.

Occam's razor....It's a typo.

Look at the relationship between the F and D on the keyboard.

Humans made tags. Humans make mistakes. Typos exist.
