Again not mine, but also on Craigslist in Maryland is a 69 Sport Fury coupe listed as a 70.
This one has me confused. I didn't think the Sport Fury series included a formal roof hardtop in 69.

The Monaco has been for sale for several years, always priced too high for what it is....

The chrysler.... we have a horse beaten thread on it somewhere

The Monaco is priced "right on" with low miles. Unless the description is wrong, it is a terrific buy. Add a paint job at minimum for 5k or more to the other cars talked about here and you are approaching 10k with any inevitable surprises. If you enjoy the Monaco style and the original condition excites you then this is the one to look at.

You are correct Pete but being a four door has held back any sales..... it used to be priced closer to ten thousand

Now that is one of those mid year model manufactured rare cars !!!! :head_smack:

One side is a 1969 and the other is a 1970 !!! :eek:s_dancing2:
Gotta love those factory custom rims !!!! :eek:ops:

I like the Monaco a lot, and don't think the price is too far out of line. To be perfect it:

(a) would need to be a '71
(b) would need to have a different color paint and roof
(c) would have an interior color other than black
(d) would have 2 fewer doors

Fitting of the right rear door to quarter panel looks a bit odd and some color differences, still pretty nice though. Hope it came in the hands of an enthusiast not to be seen in the near future with 1-2k added in asking price.

The ad has expired, but its hard to tell if the Monaco has sold. I too hope it goes to a good home. I actually like the color, but its too new for my taste. I'm partial to the 66 C-bodies.

Same car as in this 2013 story? How many 4-door Monacos with a 383-2, Gator-grain roof, and "deluxe deep dish wheel covers" can there have been in Laytonsville, MD?

In that case, I believe that the person who fixed up the car in the 2013 story is still the owner. Haven't seen the car in person, but I recently happened on some photos of its being shown at Mopar meets in Maryland a couple of years ago.

From the linked article;

"until 2009 when it was towed to a garage in Maryland. There the long-dormant 383-cubic-inch V-8 engine was brought back to life."

Then;

"When replacing the eight spark plugs I was surprised to find four different brands of spark plugs of various ages and wear," he says."

aaaaYep sounds like a real great garage, must'a had a 'Tech' work on it! :eek:
