Here is one more datapoint in support of your theory. This 1973 4dr LeBaron, which recently sold on FB (the asking price was $3.5k), looks like HL4 Sahara Beige with V1T Tan vinyl top and (guessing from the "off-white" description) an L3 Parchment interior. From the FB ad in Tipton, IN: "Driven 60,000 miles (...) Interior color: Off_white (...) all parts here 440..needs a few things adjusted..$3500...or Mopar trades...especially 4 or 5 speeds..."
I´m waiting for an Imperial to join your herd... I know you sold one recently but I could imagine you won´t resist if a nice one pops up
Indeed I did -- Elsie is now in Wisconsin. An Imperial, if I ever get one again, would have to be a 1971. I had an opportunity to buy four LeBaron 4drs, in different conditions (ranging from a solid project to truly exceptional), earlier this year. That forced me to think seriously about what I really wanted, as two of the cars were very appealing. I got to the conclusion that, short possibly of the "right" 1972 Chrysler New Yorker or 1971-1972 Sport Fury, I am altogether out of the four-door fusie market (I own a JA5 1973 NYB 4dr as you know, so I have that corner covered). As a result of this epiphany, the pool of candidate Imps that I would consider is pretty small to start with (only 1,442 2drs were produced in 1971). From those, I would only go for a car in a color and condition that appeal to me. Bottom line, the chance is pretty slim that I find the right car. FWIW, 2dr ‘71 Imps do pop up from time to time. —> One example was sold earlier this year to France by @olds is YM23T1C211836 -- a triple-black coupe that was previously owned by @TX9 (who sold it in 2018). —> Off the top of my head, other current/past owners of '71 2drs on FCBO include @saforwardlook (GY9 and GY4 in CA), @fc7_plumcrazy (FQ5 with Sure Brakes in Germany), @Imperial Pete (YM23T1C203021 is a GB2 with sunroof in OZ, previously owned by @saforwardlook), @hemiviper588 in MI (YM23T1C144878 is a GT8 2dr with sunroof that he bought in PA and later sold in 2018 to OK; it later moved overseas, to Brazil), and @jeffsunzeri (who rescued another GT8 2dr in CA). —> Non-FCBO sales include a 2017 ad by a well-known Chrysler collector/dealer in South Dakota (YM23T1C189583, a blue 2dr that was bought in WI in 2016) and a 2018 CL ad in MD (dark green). PS: does anyone know where YM23T1C189583 is nowadays -- she was for resale in 2017 by Gesswein Motors in SD? If so, please post here or in this dedicated other thread.
´Needs work. No title, bill of sale only.´ No interior shot but the view suggests it’s shot. Unfortunately I think this JF1 4dr is off to the derby...
Great looking car and great color. Too bad it doesn't have a tiltle...A good buffing and paint on the roof could make it an attractive DD for someone. Unfortunately, its fate is sealed.
YM43T2C187263 was for sale in Texas (with Illinois plates) in August 2016. Here is a link for records.
