1978 wiper drive cam

The 78 C body intermittent wiper cam was a one off. That looks like one for an R body...that,as you can see doesn't work on the C.

Argh! Dont say that, you seriously think it's made wrong?

Bob, maybe it's an improved version.
Looks a lot more engineered than the old one.
Ummmm... Has anybody checked with Murray?

It's engineered wrong if it's an improved design. I don't see how it could possibly work.

It doesn't look nothing like the 78 wiper cam.

Here's the real argument about this 78 cam.........

Why keeping messing with that stupid big cam???

Mod it to the small cam and be done with it forever!!!

Murray repopped an R-body wiper cam??

Posted via Topify on Android

It appears so...or he repopped the R body cam and mistakenly marketed the application to include the C body. Kip found an NOS 78 and 79 assembly and was able to compare them side by side and came to the realization that the C body piece was unique.

You would think that someone would of test fitted the repop cam before selling them.

For what it's worth, left message with Murray on 4-18-14 re part not working;
have not gotten a return call as of today...

I'm sure he received feedback from every person he sold that cam to.

We got a call from Murray,
"seems that there were different length pins used on the crank arm"
