Yes I had a 77 Charger Daytona in two tone blue and the doors did not have the bulges like the Magnums, just a tape outline. Hope Pete gets this Magnum it will look good sitting next to my 79 300 Ttop at the shows!!

The magnum and the Charger are a toss up, both look great!

Looks exactly like the car my steering wheel came out of....except this car hasn't been demolished by a big *** tree.

Found this poor thing while searching for something...

Well, anyway... I found this link interesting.
1978-79 Magnum XE/GT! (Information) Fender Tag/Vin# Decoders/Production Numbers

Quote:
"Yes the 79 Chrysler 300 is rare! But, did you know that there are 4292 79-300's that were built! No, Not 3800 The 3800 reflects the US numbers only"

Does this mean only 492 were exported?? So if this is correct and assuming the 492 went to Canada.....mmmmm wonder how many had sunroofs???

Heres what the white one is supposed to look like. The white one posted earlier has been ruined.

Rear ended and for sale,

The numbers I have seen was a '79 Magnum GT w/t-tops is 132 if remember correctly. Then factor in the E58 (police Pkg) cars and who know how low it could go.

I just saw this thread a moment ago and read thru it all, when the Charger Daytona was mentioned I thought of this very same car. I was selling junk just a few booths away from it that weekend.

If it matters to anyone, I have a set of Magnum GT wheels I'm not using, not sure if I will ever use them, might sell if somebody needs them for a resto.

Thanks, just stick the knife in deeper and twist it some more, will ya? Living with Twenty-six years of Magnum regret, and then you toss out those statistics on top of that. J/K!

Maybe you could just :elmer:me to put me out of my misery! :BangHead:

1979 Dodge Magnum GT from Colorado is now SOLD and will be in Wisconsin with my other cars soon. A BIG thanks to BigCRig for inspecting the car. He was a tremendous help and will be compensated for his efforts.
