Well, I may as well start the New Years thread for 2014.

What is your C-Body goal for 2014.

For me, the biggest goal will be to get all the body work, new paint and new vinyl top done in 2014. Hopefully in time for Carlisle....

Finding a damn house finally with a big enough storage building and a hoist to have space to put on the finishing touches.
Next inspection will be 1/3/14

I have to figure out two things about my vinyl top. Do I ditch the vinyl top and paint it body color. Or do I put a black vinyl top on it since black vinyl was not a factory option with PB3 Cadet Blue Metallic. My fender tag and build sheet says the factory vinyl color was blue. I think it looks good with black vinyl and may look too blue with blue paint, blue interior and blue vinyl.

Comments???

My 300 is going to get itself some new paint. It should go in the shop at the end of January. Knowing the shop, it will be done in about 6 weeks.

In the meantime, I've been doing a little bit of sound control, lining the floor with Fat Mat. I added an inexpensive powered sub woofer to get the quality of the tunes up too.

I added a power seat to the passenger side to make Mrs. Big John a little more comfortable.

Someone had removed the A/C, so I've acquired the necessary pieces to make the car cold again complete with a new style compressor. That will be the next project following paint.

Nope, dark blue vinyl.

If you ditch the top you might as well paint it two-tone. ;)

Damn..... this isn't going to be easy to decide one way or another...

Your car needs the top Bob, it looks classy with it.
I'm going to fix my oil leak, R & R the rear springs and finish my sound system upgrade in time for Carlisle.

Just put some clear Fingerhut vinyl covers over the painted roof; you'll please em all by that.
