65 Fury 318 Poly 4 bbl swap

A/C definitely required in Miami...up here in NY, not so much! Fortunately, my heat pumps out like a blast furnace which is perfect here this time of year. As for the "phenolic" carb spacer, haven't found the documentation but I think it was an Edelbrock # 8723 / 1/2" wood fiber laminate. That said, there is actually another benefit of the aluminium one- it was basically "pre-ported"...the bores that fit to the carb side are shaped to exactly match the bigger carb bores, and are angled on the manifold side to perfectly match the smaller, uniform AFB manifold bores...basically port matched. The phenolic/composite don't have that feature. They have four equal sized bores that match the Edelbrock carb, but are bigger than the stock AFB manifold bores meaning you'd have to hog out the manifold a little for best air flow. And if you're going to hog out the manifold anyway, then there's no need for the spacer!
