Hi I am in the process of putting a 360 in my 67 polara in place of the 318. can I use the water pump and accessory brackets on the 360?

No. Everything is different between the two setups. Pulleys different, brackets different radiator different. Your best bet would be to install an early -69 and earlier timing cover, install a timing tape with the marks the same as your 318 on your 360 balancer. The 68 and earlier timing covers use the small bolt on timing tab, like your 67 318 has, use that. The 69 covers have the cast in timing tab. One of the damper rebuild places will rebuild your 360 damper using the 69 and earlier timing marks. Call them and ask.

I’ve done it in my A bodies. The 360/340 (1970 and newer) waterpump put the fan too close to the radiator so I would use EVERYTHING off the old (69 back) setup and it was never a problem. We’re talking LA 318 and not poly correct? I think you could still get the Poly in Canadia in ‘67 but not 100% sure of that. Long story short yes I’ve done it a bunch of times.

This rocket had a 71 340 out of a Challenger upgraded (?) to a cast iron 1969 style waterpump for clearance. Swapped out for a DC surplus circle track 360 used the same cast iron water pump set up but I upgraded to a ‘68 390 Mustang radiator because it was bigger and free. Worked fine for me.

Almost forgot. Hughes in Phoenix makes a great conversion flex plate to hook up any small block to any other small block’s application. 340 to 318 318 to 360 340 to 360 etc etc. just tell them what you had and what you’ve bought. It’s that easy.
