Hey there mopar experts..several weeks ago I was lucky enough to get my hands on this C-bodie..I was planning on placing chrysler road wheels on her in the spring but those hubcaps are growing on me..what do you folks think..I am planning to get an appraisal in the spring for insurance purposes should I see the appraiser with the hubs or rally wheels..?..I previously owed another c body this 69 Monaco most folks don't agree with magnums on a fuselage but I think they look fine..drive safe folks.

You're over thinking this whole appraisal/value thing.
Just call Hagerty and say you want to insure it for maximum value. They already have the figures.

And they deduct for fuzzy dice.

So your the guy that bought and sold Brents car .... I presume a moment of weakness was your reasoning for the sale? The Monaco looked best with the 8 hole wheel covers she wore.

The Chrysler will look best with the road wheels but they wont affect the value for an appraiser.

It sure looks like Brent's previous car but as you pointed out, without the nice wheel covers available for those models. It was a very sad day when he had to let that car go. He had to make home improvements and there was no other option for him at the time. He is one of my best friends. I think when I get my 1969 Monaco restored, I will put it in my will to go to him when I am gone. No one would deserve it more. Just a great guy. And the 69 Monaco is one of my favorite cars. This is what I want mine to look like, exactly (except it would have the superlite):

Brent added the superlite and a ton of other options... He always did well for me, sending me parts and finding me great deals. Our correspondence these days is reduced to a Christmas card ..

Did Brent live in Calgary..I picked up the 69 from an older gentleman who was retired and by the look of his house he was not hurting for money..I hated to sell but I was offered quite a bit more for the car then I actually payed for it so I decided to sell....yes those 2 door Monaco/polara's look real nice..but I forgave myself and found another lovely c body. .all the best.

The 69 monaco in the pic had the factory superlite which was super cool..those Monaco 's in my opinion had better lines over all and those round side mirrors look so much better than the rectangle ones in the 71 and later cbodie. .cheers

No, Brent was in Winnipeg. I suspect you bought the car from Bob W. in Calgary. He's the one who bought it from Brent.

Both beautiful cars! In my opinion the Monaco looks great with the magnums due to it's sporty coke bottle side profile. The New Yorker is "straight" and luxurious. I don't think they would look right on it. One way to find out, wait two. Who's the photoshop genius? I think the hubcaps look great.

You have a truly beautiful New Yorker! Beautiful color combo, and well optioned. I see it has the rear seat heater, too.

Could it by chance be the same car that was for sale on Kijiji for 5K CND in the summer of 2014? The car was in Calgary, If I recall correctly. I tried to contact the vendor then, to no avail.
