It looks like my 72 Fury III (no AC) came stock without a fan shroud. At least, I don't see any shroud mounts. Odd that it has a working coolant reservoir system and no fan shroud. When did the fan shroud become standard equipment for non-AC cars?

I think it's odd as well. literally all GM cars had a fan shroud by 1969.
Also, I rarely see a radiator that was built without the ability to install a shroud. Even going back into the sixties, I don't recall seeing a radiator that couldn't accept a fan shroud even though it didn't have ac nor the shroud from the factory. in other words, I don't recall seeing a radiator that was specifically designed to NOT accept a shroud.

maybe there are missing brackets that allow a 22" fan shroud to mount behind the radiator?

Hi CCAS, I've never seen a Chrysler radiator with no brackets for mounting a fan shroud. I was about to buy a shroud on ebay, checking my car to see if it matched, ... and no shroud mounts. Car is from Oregon, but manufactured Belvidere IL.

@1970FuryConv -- did you get a shroud in the end? I want to add one (ideally the correct 2998330 shroud) on Regina, my 1970 Polara with the same radiator as your Fury's.
