OK, I received Bob's parts yesterday: torque converter cover and left-side support brace for 904 SB V8 trans. Thanks Bob! Trying to cure a sporadic rattle from area of trans bell housing
Check torque on flexplate bolts to torque converter, all tight, 270"lbs. And could not see any cracks in visible part of flex plate. Also, checked all 6 mounting bolts for bell housing, 28'lbs, all tight & OK.

Found a small abrasion on cut torque converter cover. Part of problem? Possibly

Bob's TCC, cleaned up, vs old

New used TCC, installed

Left side brace installed, copper color not correct, but shows up on camera, and I had it onhand. Bell housing threads bunged out, so nut installed on bolt

Right side brace, for comparison

Will test drive tomorrow

I forgot. I brought those to the shop a couple months ago as I had a local guy needing one. I have a bunch. The longer ones have S/6 727 written on one. They do not line up with the other two. So I’m thinking you need the shorter one. They are different also but line up correctly. Let me know if you see the one you need. All are good
