I am searching for a C Formal... but these have been popping a lot lately... Highlights, all have something I liked.

I am finding way more of these than 1974-78 Imperials and NYers

Perhaps you are trying harder because you really like these better?

If you're finding, it definitely means you're looking.

So which year and model do you prefer of these forward look Chryslers

Not necessarily
My standard search is make/model Chrysler max year 1980... does keep me looking at stuff I like...

To be honest... I expect to pay for a clean 1974-78 close to what a project one of these FL cars is worth. And parts for them is worse. The similar models in various conditions could make for a strong argument against project cars.
I know these are asking prices, not an accurate price guide... but still telling.

Which is why I am a turnkey guy. I would love to do one myself but it is not for everyone for a variety of reasons.

My school bus went by a 1960 black 2 door New Yorker for years. At 18, I asked about it and the guy just wanted the driveline. Popped the driveline and it was mine, but had title issues... took months to solve. By the time the car was clear, I was a broke 18 year old with no way to do anything right with the car... I gave it to a older friend who was starting a restoration business... several years later when I asked about it because I had always wanted it, just missed he sold it 2 weeks earlier to someone restoring one. I have watched them and the 300's ever since.

what craigslist searchengine do you use?

FL cars are fantastic but a real pain to restore.
I would at least be a decent driver which could be used "as is" even if it is not perfect.

I have my best results plugging the criteria into my local site and then changing cities as I cross the country... and its helping my geography skills too so there's educational value...

I haven't found a search engine that does it as good. I find one odd car and try the search engines... none seem to find the same car.

Don't stop I love your Canadian cars... except that they're in Canada...

Its about an hour from me and 30 minutes from 300Rag maybe we can eyeball it for you. I have spoken with the guy to see how serious he is. Dealer looking to reduce inventory.

That sounds great... but before I waste your time... I really need to find out approx. what it would take to ship it... a 40 hour road trip just doesn't seem like the best way to break in a new arrival... 116kilometers... that's like 70-80 thousand miles? And with a metric speedo the wife will think I'm always speeding... bonus!

I did a 43 hour road trip a year ago. Of course I had a trailer the whole way...no regrets

I'm thinking that's 3 days on the road driving sleeping, plus whatever else.... I want to check shipping rates first.

7 hour flight... 42 road hours... customs??? it would be quite the adventure. oh wait... in December, and Murphy and I have a long history with weather and road trips...

This is a busy time of year to ship a car to Florida, snowbirds and all, so I don't think it will come cheap.
