Hey Y'all,

Trying to help a fellow with a 68 Imperial with Autopilot.

Does anyone have the 68 Service Manual Autopilot section (Typically found in Section 1 Accessories)?)

I will take a look tonight Ross. I also have a 67 Imperial book which would be the same. I will check my Master Technician binder and supplements, too.
What is is looking for,btw??

Not quite sure - still working on getting a feel for what's the issue - I'm doing it all by phone for now!

The 58-66 ones I can diagnose and service with my eyes closed - but the 67 and up are a bit out of my league since I don't have any experience.

Are they still electromechanical in 67 and 68, or have they gone to vacuum control yet?

EDIT>>Imperials 67-68 electromechanial.
All other 68 cars used vacuum

Fabulous info Leaburn, thanks so much. I see that the details really only cover the vacuum controlled ones. However, now that I know that the Imps still used the old electromechanical setup, I can definitely help the guy get it working again.

Cheers!
