The issue I think we're trying to figure out here is not the use of amber lighting but what got the clear lens and what got the amber lens.

I understand that Stan, from what I have seen researching this, There seems to be no rhyme or reason to what different automobile manufactures did. or at least I could not find anything .... :icon_pray: But what the hell do I know ............. :ImNewHere:lol lol

I can't answer for Bittersweet, but my Monaco came with clear lenses.

Really nice Stan. Car is beautiful. Do you have any plans for wheels or anything with the motor? Again, cool ride.

I just ordered a set of Baby Moons and I'll flip that one tire with the RWL. I've finally got my dream setup. Blackwalls on black steelies and Baby Moons.
The engine seems to be running perfectly. No issues from I can see. Belts and hoses is all.

Looking forward to seeing some pictures after you get the wheels on. It's gonna look great. Can you post some engine pics if you didn't already? You must be lovin life with your new ride.!

As to the park lense color questions; I believe all Chrysler products switched to amber in '68.

If you see a mismatch between the '67 and '68 Chryslers it would be because the '67 300, '67 Newport and the '68 300 will physically interchange and someone changed them for their own preference or availability.

Now that's a viewpoint that never occurred to me. Since that lens was continued into 68 for the 300's, and since the 68's had to be amber, it would have been feasible to let the clears run down and switch over to the 68's late in the 67 production run.
Now, the next question is, how many Monday morning cars in 67 went out with one clear and one amber. Lol.
